Goblet beer glass boot-shaped made of colourless transparent glass. To drink from it without spilling, hold the toe of the boot out until the air is expelled. There is a legend that a German general promised his soldiers he would drink beer from his boot if they won the battle. After their victory, he ordered a glass mug to be made in the shape of a boot so that he wouldn’t have to drink from a dirty shoe. Germany, late 19th century.
